Delivery and Shipping

If you are ordering on account for an ICS Skills Centre we will deliver the goods to the centre address we have on file. To arrange delivery to an alternative address please email shop@ics.ie

If you are an individual customer we will deliver the ordered goods to the delivery address you give when you place your order.
Once we accept your order, we will endeavour to deliver the goods as soon as possible; however, some products are shipped directly from the manufacturer/publisher and may take 7-10 working days.

Shipments are made by An Post or courier depending on manufacturer and order weight/volume.

If there is no one available to accept a delivery by An Post, goods will be held for a number days at an An Post facility for collection by you. If shipped by courier, our courier will keep the goods for up to two days and you can arrange for a new delivery date. After two days we may treat the order as cancelled by you. In this case we will refund the price of the goods, but we shall be entitled to keep the amount you paid for delivery.

If you give us an incorrect or incomplete delivery address and as a result we try but are not able to make the delivery, we may treat the order as cancelled by you. In this case we will refund the price of the goods, but we shall be entitled to keep the amount you paid for delivery.

If some of the goods you ordered are not available we may deliver part of your order. We will deliver the rest of the order as soon as possible afterwards. Orders for goods from different manufacturers/publishers will be delivered in multiple parts directly from the manufacturer/publisher, but will be billed in one invoice from ICS Skills.

Please note: we only deliver to Republic of Ireland addresses.

Cancellation Policy

Distance selling regulations (DSR) provide for a “cooling off” period for business to consumer transactions. If you are not an ICS Skills centre e.g. you are a member of the public purchasing an ECDL book, you are entitled to cancel your order within 7 working days of delivery of any part of your order, or from receipt of a confirmation of a booking on an event or course.

You may not cancel your order with us under the Distance Selling Regulations where any audio or video recordings or computer software has been unsealed by you.
If you cancel the order under the Distance Selling Regulations, you must take reasonable care of the goods from the time you receive them until you return them to us.

If you cancel the order under the Distance Selling Regulations you must return the goods to us at your own expense.

If you cancel the order under the Distance Selling Regulations and do not return the goods as required, we may charge you our direct costs of recovering the goods.
Cancellation of events or courses by us.

If we cancel a course or event, for any reason, participants will be notified as soon as possible prior to the course start date. ICS Skills will propose an alternative date to attend if available and offer to modify your booking. If no alternative is possible, or at your request, we will refund the amount you have paid in full.

Cancellation of events or courses by you

All cancellation requests should be made in writing (email is sufficient) to our office. Email shop@ics.ie

The following conditions apply to course cancellations:
Within the DSR Cooling-off period, for bookings made by individuals.

If you cancel within 7 working days of making your booking, we will refund the full amount you paid.

Cancellation of individuals’ bookings outside the DSR Cooling-off period; or cancellation of bookings made by businesses:

If you cancel your booking less than 3 full working days before the event or course start date, or fail to cancel your booking, no refund will apply, and you will be liable for any unpaid fees.

If you cancel your booking more than 3 days before the event or course start date, you will be liable for a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the agreed fee at time of booking.

Returns Policy

Individuals may return goods within the DSR cooling-off period without giving a reason, and will receive a full-refund of the price paid for the goods (not including delivery charges). Goods must be returned in merchantable quality i.e. they must not be damaged, soiled or defaced. The cost and risk of returning goods under this provision is borne by you, and we advise you to ensure goods are adequately insured during any return journey.

Otherwise, goods may be returned if they are faulty, damaged or incorrect i.e. we shipped the wrong product. In this case the shipping cost for returning the goods will be borne by ICS Skills.

In all cases please contact returns@ics.ie for assistance with returning goods. DO NOT RETURN any goods without first contacting ICS Skills and receiving returns instructions. We will require a returns code and original order number to efficiently process your return and credit any sums due.
